Emily Mortimer

Emily Mortimer, a British screenwriter and actress, is well-known as a major contributor to Hollywood movies. A former theater student with the distinction of a notable history, Mortimer has an unassuming persona. She appeared in 'Mary Poppins Returns', which was the sequel to 1964's famous musical that became a cult favorite, 'Marypoppins.' This was an achievement for Mortimer. She was a quirky French associate in the film series Pink Panther and was ambitious and a strong news producer for "The Newsroom". Emily Kathleen Anne Mortimer was born on the 1st of December 1971 in Hammersmith, London, to the famous barrister and writer Sir John Mortimer and Penelope Gollop. Emily is blessed with several siblings. Her father had a previous marriage with Penelope Fletcher, who was her half-sister. Rosie, her younger sibling is called. Also, she has a half-brother named Ross Bentley, from her father's marriage to actor Wendy Craig. Mortimer was a student at the St Paul's Girls' School in London. Following her graduation at Oxford University in 1994 where she was a student of English in Lincoln College and Russian, she attended Moscow Arts Theatre Drama School to study acting.
